Dr. Christopher Parent

Dr. Christopher Parent was born in Northern Maine and grew up near Bangor. From a young age, Dr. Parent knew he wanted to become a dentist when he grew up. He received his bachelor's degree from Liberty University in Virginia and returned to Maine for dental school. He received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of New England.

After an externship in dental school at Harrington Health Center near Machias, Dr. Parent dedicated three years to working in public health and helped provide access to dental care. He worked at Nasson Health Care, where he completed National Health Service Corps service. Dr. Parent is very excited to return to Porter and spend his career improving the dental health of Sacopee Valley.

Dr. Parent knew that he wanted to be a dentist since middle school. He appreciates the various things he does daily, including working with his hands, using technology, and problem-solving each day. Other aspects he enjoys about being a dentist are the relationships he develops with his patients, helping them get out of pain, and giving them their smiles.

In his free time, Dr. Parent loves to spend time outside with his wife, Lindsey, and sons, Luke and Owen. Dr. Parent is an avid outdoorsman who loves fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking. He's actually hiked Mount Katahdin five times and once caught a 10-pound landlocked salmon!

They were so kind, slow, and receptive to how I was feeling!

I'm a current patient and have been for 5 years. I had a tooth break last night and called today at 315 and they were able to get me in for 350! I was expecting to wait days or even weeks! They temporarily fixed the problem and adjusted my treatment plan for my next appointment (already scheduled) to fully fix the problem! I have EXTREMELY sensitive teeth (even with numbing) and EXTREME anxiety but they were so kind, slow, and receptive to how I was feeling!
